Anti-TRAIL Polyclonal Antibody

TRAIL (Tumor Necrosis Factor-Related Apoptosis Inducing Ligand) is a cell surface molecule involved in the initiation of apoptosis. Known as a death receptor like Fas, TNFR-2, and DR-3, TRAIL is activated upon ligand binding and engages the cells on the cascade of signaling involving caspase activation through an adapter molecule. TRAIL has been shown to induce apoptosis in human melanoma cells and not in healthy cells making it a prime candidate for cancer studies.

Immunogen: Anti-TRAIL is a goat polyclonal antibody generated by immunization with full-length recombinant human TRAIL.

Source: Goat

Specificity: The antibody recognizes and neutralizes human TRAIL.

Preparation: The antibody is affinity purified and provided in sterile PBS (pH 7.4) containing 0.01% sodium azide.

Applications:
  • Western blotting
  • Neutralization of activity
  • ELISA
  •
Storage: Freeze in working aliquots at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer to avoid repeated freeze-thawing.
